I’m Mike Wilson. I spent 20 years in destination hospitality — Colorado ski country, then Northern Michigan resort towns and an island resort. Seven years as an F&B Director at a four-season property, then the same role on the island: a strong operation, a big team, and every May a new crew to bring up to speed.
Those places ran well, and the reason they ran well was structure — what got written down, what got trained, and how fast someone could find the answer without coming to me. My job was to take that up a level and make the good version repeatable, so it held through the turnover. That’s the same work I do now — the business type changes, the problem doesn’t.
Most AI consultants start with software. I start with the operation: what your team needs to know, what work repeats, where decisions get stuck, and what should stay human. Then we use the simplest tools that fit — Google, Microsoft, Notion, or your own hardware — with AI where it actually earns its place, including models that run entirely on your own machines when privacy matters.
